At the London Cosmetic Clinic our specialist Botox doctor is skilled in using Botox injections to reduce the size of an excessively large lower jaw and to help minimise teeth grinding (bruxism). These are both caused by the Massester muscle which can be over-developed. Botox injections work in two ways; firstly the reduction in muscle movement minimises teeth grinding and secondly, as the muscle is used less, the size of it reduces over time so the jaw appears narrower. Some people note that their cheeks look enhanced by the treatment.
Why use us?
At the London Cosmetic Clinic we only use FDA-approved, premium products for our treatments including Botox and Radiesse. We offer a free non-obligation consultation where you can discuss your desired results with us and we can explain the best course of action. After your treatment we offer a follow up appointment so that we can monitor your results and a completely free of charge top-up treatment if necessary 2 weeks after the original treatment. This helps to ensure that you get the best possible result.
We are located in the heart of Knightsbridge in a very easily accessible area.
What to expect from your Botox treatment.
Before the treatment we will assess you for your suitability- if the muscle in your jaw feels very large and hard when you clench your jaw this is a good indicator that you are a suitable candidate. Our Botox doctor will carefully examine you to determine where to place the injections; usually you will receive one injection per side of the jaw.
The treatment takes approximately 5 minutes and you will not require any recovery time afterwards, however, there may be some minimal swelling and bruising. You may also find that your jaw feels tired after a lot of chewing but should not experience difficulty eating as a whole.
You should see a difference in the appearance of your jaw after about 6 weeks and reduced tooth grinding within 1-2 weeks. It may take up to 3 sessions each spaced 3 months apart to get the best possible results. The effects last between 6 to 12 months and we recommend that you have a top-up treatment after this time.
We will advise you on aftercare and it is important that you do not rub the treated area within 4 hours of the treatment to avoid spreading the Botox to different areas.
We offer highly competitive prices starting from £395-£450 for both sides. The cost of the treatment and any follow up appointments will be discussed at your consultation.
